We are launching an exciting new program with help from the Community Arts Workshop in Santa Barbara. Area Meeting will be a monthly gathering where invited creatives share work in need of feedback. A vital step to making good art is receiving useful feedback. Area Meeting is designed to be both a space for that dialogue with new artwork and a place to congregate as a creative community.

FREE and open to the public, Area Meeting is a place to reconnect after this corrosive time of isolation. As we emerge back into our regular patterns the hope is to provide a safe space for ideas and discussion.

TINA VILLADOLID

Tina Villadolid’s social practice embodies equity, empowerment, and empathy. The common thread of her community projects is the revelation of an individual’s artistic voice, while unifying diverse populations in the shared expression of personal experiences through art. Her uniquely adaptable, highly effective approach transcends language barriers, cultural differences, and perceived limitations.

Engaging with individuals and groups of all ages and status, within environments as wide-ranging as Harlem, NY, Santa Barbara, CA, the slums of Tondo in the Philippines and Kibera in Kenya, Tina’s work celebrates the invincible bond of our humanity.
