Spring always brings out new ambition. This was a drawing workshop we ran at the Community Arts Workshop in Santa Barbara. The CAW is a fantastic facility and we saw dozens of drawers come out over three nights. Some of our participants hadn’t drawn in years and some had never drawn. We brought in two of our favorite figure models and they worked through a series of dramatic poses that lead to some truly marvelous drawings.
The sessions were brief but productive with enough time for some light reflection of the work. We hope to bring back an extended drop-in session drawing workshop in the fall of 2019.
